Cooking With The Volunteers
 In 2002, the Hospital Auxiliary decided to compile a cookbook for the hospital. Other hospitals had published cookbooks and we wanted to show off the talents of our employees. Also, we saw this as a good opportunity to raise money for the projects of the Auxiliary.
The Volunteers asked the hospital employees to submit their favorite recipes and the project drifted along slowly for 2 years. About six months ago we began to get seriously involved in completing the cookbook. We typed, edited, re-typed, re-edited, and finally amassed a wide variety of quality recipes that will appeal to the novice as well as the gourmet chef.
We are indebted to our employees at CRHS and Auxiliary members for their contributions of favorite and family recipes. We are also appreciative to Mr. Kenneth White for his painting of CRHS which he allowed us to use for our cover.
Columbus Regional Healthcare System’s Auxiliary is proud to present: Columbus Regional Cooking, a compilation of exceptional recipes from some of the best cooks in our county. The cookbooks are on sale in the Sunshine Shop at the hospital for $10.00 and make wonderful Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers!
The cookbook committee included Pat Paschal, Lou Hooks, Sandra Love, and Elsie Campbell (Consultant) along with Auxiliary members Mozelle Bunn, Sandra Carrell, Billy Carter, Lake Coleman, Irene Fluharty, Betty Freeman, Cindy Nobles, Jackie Jones, Mona Kahl, Mona McLelland, Grace Palmer, Eva Pope, Evelyn Robertson, Betsy McKee, Irdell Stevens, Retha Thompson, Wanda Leggett and Dixie Batten.
